1. Kentucky State Fair – 609,555 (Aug. 2017)
The Kentucky State Fair is held every year at the Kentucky Exposition Center. This 11-day, uniquely Kentucky celebration includes three Main Stage Concerts, The World’s Championship Horse Show, midway rides, competitive entries, agriculture exhibits and livestock, free Turf Concert Series, entertainment tents, food and fun.
2. National Farm Machinery Show – 300,000+ (Feb. 2017)
The National Farm Machinery Show showcases cutting-edge agricultural products, equipment and services. Industry professionals from around the world learn about and get hands-on experience with technological advancements for the upcoming farming season. The 4-day show includes a Championship Tractor Pull and 860 exhibitors, making it the country’s largest indoor farm show.
3. North American International Livestock Expo – 200,000 (Oct. 2016)
The North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) is the largest all-breed, purebred livestock event in the world, with 10 livestock divisions and nearly 30,000 entries from the 48 contiguous states. This 17-day event includes the North American Championship Rodeo where top wranglers compete for more than $80,000 in prizes – and the title of Regional Champion.
4. Mid-America Trucking Show – 72,271 (March 2017)
The Mid-America Trucking Show is the largest annual heavy-duty trucking industry event in the world. The Kentucky Exposition Center has hosted the show since 1972, which brings $26 million in annual economic impact to Louisville. This industry-only event allows attendees to see new products and services; test drive new trucks and technology; connect with suppliers, distributors and customers; and learn about industry issues.
5. National Street Rod Association Nationals – 70,000 (Aug. 2017)
Street Rod Nationals showcases up to 15,000 street rods, classics and muscle cars from the 50s, 60s and 70s. The total value of street rods at Nationals is an estimated $385 million dollars. The 4-day event features a vintage auto parts swap meet and a tradeshow with more than 375 manufacturers and dealers displaying and selling parts, accessories and supplies – plus an arts and crafts fair.

Kosair Circus – 39,900 (Feb. 2017)
Each year the Kosair Shrine Circus takes over Broadbent Arena. Performed by George Carden Circus International, the three-ring production features aerial acts, animal shows and clowns. Best of all, more than 20,000 underprivileged children fill the stands – for free, through ticket donations to more than 100 charities.
