Green Industry and Equipment Expo Grows: Brings More Green to Louisville

Largest ever – 2017 to break the last two year’s record-setting shows.

The Green Industry and Equipment Expo (GIE+EXPO) returns to Louisville Oct. 18-20, bringing with it record-breaking numbers, including an economic impact of more than $19.6 million. This industry-only event is held in conjunction with Hardscape North America at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

GIE+EXPO is the country’s largest showcase for outdoor power equipment; lawn and garden products; and light construction equipment. The tradeshow continues to grow each year and is expected to break the past two record-setting shows.

Registration is currently up 13 percent. New exhibitors have increased by 20 percent and the exhibit area now covers an additional 50,000 square feet, bringing the expo’s total square footage to 1,523,012.

Test drives and demonstrations take place outside in a 20-acre designated area, while 100 of the industry’s hottest new products are showcased inside, many of which are unveiled during the show. Educational opportunities are also offered, and pre-registration for contractor workshops is up 34 percent.

More than 22,500 manufacturers, retailers, distributors, contractors and landscape professionals are expected to attend the show.
